About the Position
The Genotypos Cytogenetics Laboratory is looking for a Cytogenetics Laboratory Scientist to join its scientific team.
The successful candidate will participate in the daily operation of the laboratory and in the implementation of established cytogenetics protocols, with a primary focus on cell culture from peripheral blood and/or bone marrow samples, as well as the preparation and staining of cytogenetic specimens.
Key Responsibilities
- Cell culture from peripheral blood and/or bone marrow samples
- Preparation and staining of cytogenetic specimens
- Implementation and adherence to Cytogenetics Laboratory protocols
- Operation of relevant laboratory equipment
- Maintenance of laboratory documentation and compliance with quality procedures
- Collaboration with the scientific team to ensure accurate and consistent laboratory workflows
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Biology, Biotechnology or another relevant Life Sciences discipline
- Ability to follow and implement laboratory protocols
- Accuracy, responsibility and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a quality-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous laboratory experience in protocols involving the culture and processing of peripheral blood and/or bone marrow cells
- Previous experience in a Cytogenetics Laboratory
- Knowledge of or experience in karyotype analysis
